Players nominated for the Hall of Fame Women
We read in Poker News Daily that has released the names of the seven players who are candidates to join the Hall of Fame of Women in Poker . Voting is open to the general public and two of the nominees will be chosen to join the select group.
The seven players who were selected are: Annie Duke, Jennifer Harman, Kathy Liebert, JJ Liu, Phyllis Caro, Nani Dollison and Betty Carey . The requirements that met these candidates were: to be or have been an active player or a leader in the industry for a minimum of fifteen years, have contributed significantly to the world of poker and, finally, must be in favor of women-only events.

“Some candidates are better known than others, but all of them have sufficient merit to be considered,” said Karina Jett, member of the Hall of Fame.
Regarding the absence of some players who are having great success in recent years as Vanessa Rousso and Liv Boeree Annette Obrestad , Jett said: “They will have their moment in the future. The selection criteria require that any nominee is a professional player or an established and recognized industry. “
